Global Executive Vice President of Midland Group visits China

Recently, John H. Schroeder, Global Executive Vice President of Marmon Midland Group, the parent company of Ecowater, visited China. On October 20 and 21, he met with Zhu Jiagui, Executive President and General Manager of the Operation Center of Red Star Macalline Home Group, an important partner of Ecowater, and Wang Ning, Executive President of Easyhome, respectively, to discuss the development of China’s whole-house water purification market. The meeting strengthened the strategic cooperation in building materials channels and further demonstrated the group’s determination and commitment to continue to cultivate the Chinese market.

“Where people are, there is the market”. Market size, economic growth and consumer recognition are the three key factors that attract multinational companies to continue to invest in brand building in the Chinese market. Compared with the many uncertainties in global economic development, China’s economy has shown a positive recovery momentum. According to the data recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of this year, China’s economy grew by 5.5% year-on-year, and the speed of economic recovery is in the leading position among major economies in the world.

In terms of market penetration, 22% of American households have installed and used whole-house water purification systems; in contrast, in terms of the Chinese market and population size, only about 1% of households have whole-house water purification systems. As consumers pay more and more attention to health and water environment safety, China’s whole-house water purification market undoubtedly has huge room for growth. According to macroeconomic forecasts, by 2026, the Asia-Pacific region is expected to account for more than 60% of the global front-end water treatment market.

From the macroeconomic market to the potential of whole-house water purification, Ecowater China and even Ecowater Asia Pacific have great confidence, and have also attracted Midland Group to continue to increase its investment in the Chinese market and cast a “vote of confidence” with practical actions. This meeting also marks the ambition of Ecowater and Midland Group to win in China, and by strengthening strategic cooperation and layout with building materials channels, they have officially entered a new era in China.
